The club enjoyed a wonderful May exhibition at Kirklands, showcasing a vibrant 1960s-themed display alongside an impressive array of framed paintings, portfolio items, and handmade crafts. In the entrance, display boards featured the club’s rich history and a recent MAC-led workshop with the Menston Beavers, who created artwork to celebrate their own 40th anniversary this year.
The coveted Favourite Picture Prize was awarded to Keith Hooper for his magnificent portrait of iconic actress Sophia Loren. Raffle prizes—including a stunning pastel painting by visiting demonstrator Cath Inglis—were presented by two of the club’s longest-serving members, Shirley Done and Maureen Waddington.
